Special issue SAB

Participants of ESAS 2024 Conference are encouraged to publish an article in a Special Issue of “Spectrochimica Acta Part B” entitled “Selected papers from the European Symposium on Analytical Spectrometry (ESAS), 24th – 28th of June, 2024, Warsaw, Poland” (guest editor – Prof. dr hab. Ewa Bulska, University of Warsaw) based on their proceedings at the conference.

In order to do so, please:

• prepare a manuscript as a regular Research Paper (check the guide for authors at https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/spectrochimica-acta-part-b-atomic-spectroscopy/publish/guide-for-authors);
• press the “Submit your article” button at the Journal website: https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/spectrochimica-acta-part-b-atomic-spectroscopy;
• during the submission choose the appropriate Special Issue;
  – remember, that the Special Issue is not a collection of proceedings but a selection of original papers

The timeframe and deadlines associated with the proposed Special Issue are as follows:

• from the launch of the dedicated online Special Issue submission site authors will have 16 weeks to upload their papers if there is an ‘Open Call’ for contributions and 8 weeks if there is no open call published. After this period the site will be closed to new submissions;
• from the close of the submission site the reviewing process should be completed with final decisions made on all manuscripts within 16 weeks. Any papers that fail to complete within this timeline may have to be excluded from the Special Issue.
• we anticipate 8–10 weeks from the end of the editorial/review process for the papers to be typeset and prepared for publication. We are not able to delay publication once articles are typeset.

The number of publications will be limited, so please do not hesitate with the submission.

We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding the submission process. The deadline for manuscript submissions will be extended to provide you with additional time to finalize your contributions.

In the coming days, you will receive a formal invitation to publish your work in the Special Issue. We kindly ask you to keep an eye out for this communication. Please note that the new deadline for editorial acceptance is now scheduled for February 28, 2025.
