Prof. Érico M. M. Flores
Professor Érico M. M. Flores has a permanent position at Federal University of Santa Maria/Brazil as a Titular Professor in Analytical Chemistry field.
He was the Director of Analytical Chemistry Division of Brazilian Chemical Society and Scientific Director of Rio Grande do Sul State Research and has experience in the development of methods for sample preparation for element determination, speciation analysis using atomic spectrometry. He has published more than 400 papers, one book and many book chapters and patents.
He is a representative member of several national and international committees (e.g., European Society of Sonochemistry/ESS, ICH, Analytical Chemistry Division of IUPAC, Rio Grande do Sul State Foundation,
Coordinator of the National Technical Committee of Pharmaceutical Drugs of the Brazilian Pharmacopea). He developed a new system of microwave induced combustion that is commercialized in many countries, is a titular member of National Council of Brazilian Pharmacopoea and editor or member of scientific journals (Ultrasonics Sonochemistry/Elsevier). He has more than 10,000 citations and h-index of 50 (Clarivate Citation Report).
More than 30 students have received the PhD and more than 50 have received the MS degree under his supervision.
