Markéta Holá
Markéta Holá received her PhD in Chemistry from Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic in 2004.
Following her graduation, she continued her academic career as a researcher and specialist in the field of Laser Ablation with Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) in the team of Prof. Viktor Kanický at Masaryk University.
From 2009 to 2014, she paused her scientific career for maternity leave. Between 2014 and 2018, she worked in the research group for Synthesis and Analysis of Nanostructures at the Central European Technology Institute in Brno. Since 2019, she has been working in the Laboratory of Atomic Spectrochemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Masaryk University. She has successfully supervised over 20 bachelor’s and master’s students.
Her current research focuses primarily on the study of laser-sample interaction processes, study of laser-generated aerosol, trace analysis of geological materials, imaging methods using LA-ICP-MS and isotopic ratio measurements.
She regularly contributes to organizing conferences in the fields of analytical chemistry and spectrometry, allowing her to stay at the forefront of current developmental trends and collaborate with leading experts in the field.
