Pathfood Winter School on Capillary Electrophoresis, 16-20.02.2026 (hybrid)
23 01 2026
As part of the PATHFOOD project, we are pleased to announce a five-day Winter School on Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), taking place at the University of Warsaw Biological and Chemical Research Centre from 16 to 20 February 2026. The course will be offered in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join on-site or online.

16–20 February 2026 | University of Warsaw Biological and Chemical Research Centre | Hybrid Format
Applications are open until 5 February 2026. Limited spots available!
Who Should Attend
This winter school is designed for:
- Researchers;
- PhD students;
- Partners of the PATHFOOD project.
Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience with capillary electrophoresis, a versatile separation technique for biomolecular analysis.
What You Will Learn
The program covers a wide range of CE techniques and concepts, including:
- Capillary Zone Electrophoresis (CZE)
- Micellar Electrokinetic Capillary Chromatography (MEKC)
- Capillary Electrochromatography (CEC)
Key topics include:
- How operational conditions affect separation performance
- The role of Background Electrolyte Solutions (BGE) in CE
- Compatibility of BGE with mass spectrometry and online preconcentration methods
Participants will also explore the advantages of CE in analyzing complex samples, including:
- High sensitivity for low analyte concentrations
- Cost-effectiveness and minimal use of hazardous chemicals
- Alignment with green chemistry principles
The Winter School will highlight the practical applicability of CE in food and phytochemical research, demonstrating its power as a sustainable analytical tool.
Course Leader

The program will be presented by Dr. Danilo Corradini, an internationally recognized expert in capillary electrophoresis. Check his biography>>>.
