Team Leader
Prof. Krystian Jażdżewski, MD, PhD– medical doctor, endocrinologist, oncogeneticist, currently conducting specialization in clinical genetics. He is devoting all his efforts to make genetic testing available for every Polish citizen. His interests are particularly focused on testing for hereditary cancer, allowing for early prevention and treatment of the disease. He’s been conducting research on the genetics of human diseases and the use of genomic sequencing in medicine. He worked for 10 years in the USA, in one of the world best cancer inheritance research teams. During that time, Krystian discovered a gene responsible for thyroid cancer inheritance. His publication was reviewed in Faculty 1000 Medicine and ranked among the best 4% of reports. Krystian came back to Poland with the intention to use his experience to promote genetic testing for hereditary cancers.
