Center for Preclinical Research and Technology

Description of the Group

The Center is a group of interdisciplinary laboratories located on the ochota cmpus, focused on research in the field of medicine and technology.

The CePT laboratory consists of 3 research centers:

• Center for Large-Scale Modeling and Processing of Biomedical Data;
• Center for Physico-Chemical Research of Systems and Materials of Biological Significance;
• Chemistry Laboratory 11C and 15O.

The centers are part of the biomedical-biotechnological project of the Center for Preclinical Research and Technology (CePT), implemented on the Ochota Campus.

The Center for Large-Scale Modeling and Processing of Biomedical Data has high-performance computing clusters with visualization systems and mass data storage.

The Center for Physical and Chemical Research of Systems and Materials of Biological Significance integrates the research work of groups dealing with topics related to new methods and technologies that can be used in the diagnosis and prevention of lifestyle diseases.

The 11C and 15O Chemistry Laboratory is a radiopharmaceutical laboratory that produces isotope-labeled substances. The equipment allows for obtaining radiotracers used in molecular imaging techniques (PET, SPECT) for the diagnosis of lifestyle diseases (oncology, neurology, cardiology), studies of physiological processes and molecular mechanisms of disease changes and in preclinical studies of new drugs.
