Interns from Kazakhstan from the “500 Scientists” program

As part of the “500 Scientists” program, funded by the “Bolashak” foundation, we have the honor of hosting two interns from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Department of Fundamental Medicine) for a year: Gaukhar Yeszhanova and Mengtay Aitzhan.

Scope of research

The interns work under the supervision of Prof. Małgorzata Suska-Malawska at the Laboratory of Biogeochemistry, Ecology, and Ecosystem Protection, and Prof. Iwona Jasser – research group Ecology and Toxicity of Cyanobacteria.
Their research focuses on an individual training plan titled “Analytical Methods and Ecology of Aquatic Organisms,” emphasizing biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry.

 

Current interns

It is worth noting that Gaukhar and Mengtay are the latest interns in this program at CNBCh UW, joining Aidyn Orazov and Shynar Tustubayeva, who are also completing their internships with us.

 

Main goals of the program
  • To develop support for young scientists from Kazakhstan.
  • To enhance knowledge and skills in conducting scientific research.
