The Lakes connect project at the Copernicus Science Center

12 08 2024
For two days (August 8-9, 2024), workshops were held for employees of the Copernicus Science Center as part of the Lakes connect project, focusing on research into microplastics.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about the entire research process, from collecting water samples from the Vistula River using a Manta net, which effectively catches microplastics, to microscopic analysis of the samples. These workshops were an inspiring experience that highlighted the importance of the Lakes Connect project in serving society.
The knowledge gained during these days will enrich future classes and exhibitions at the Copernicus Science Center.
Upcoming workshops
The next workshops will take place in August at the University of Warsaw Hydrobiological Station in Pilchy.
