Lecture by Dr. hab. Łucja Kowalewska titled “Complex Nanoscale Topologies in Plants – Diamond and Gyroid Membrane Networks in Plastids”

We warmly invite you to a lecture by Dr. habil. Łucja Kowalewska titled “Complex Nanoscale Topologies in Plants – Diamond and Gyroid Membrane Networks in Plastids.” The lecture (in English) will take place on November 19 at 1:30 PM in the Faculty Council Room (1st floor) at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw (Miecznikowa 1).

Dr. habil. Łucja Kowalewska is this year’s laureate of the NCN Award in the field of Life Sciences. During the lecture, she will discuss her research on the properties of biological membranes, particularly plastid membranes.

The NCN Award is considered the most prestigious distinction in the Polish scientific community for young researchers conducting basic research at Polish scientific institutions.

Dr. habil. Łucja Kowalewska is the head of the research group Plastid Nanomorphology Group.
